An Experience

Wednesday Apr 21, 2010

Wednesday Apr 21, 2010

This is the most recent song I recorded and it represents the most developed music-making style I have reached whereby I combine the impressions of the moment with a pre-designed skeleton to achieve a nice balance between the two so that the song is neither too chaotic and improvisational nor too rigorous and controlled. I hope this worked!

Delusion

Wednesday Apr 14, 2010

Wednesday Apr 14, 2010

This is one of the last songs I recorded and, as usual, is composed of a main guitar line which alternates between two variations of the same chord, which nonetheless are made to sound quite different, with a main drum line and additional guitars and sounds added over this. It's simplicity lies in the sense of alternating between a major and a minor of the same chord, highlighting the possibility of duality arising from unity, much in the same manner as the delusion of self vs other arises from ONENESS...

Soaring...Radiating

Saturday Apr 10, 2010

Saturday Apr 10, 2010

This is a slightly older song which I recorded about a year or so ago and was completely done on the Garageband program on a Macbook without recording any live instruments. I was experimenting with simplicity in an attempt to trim down the excess randomness and spontaneity of free experimentation. By constraining myself to a few sounds and a few moods, I can arguably achieve a more coherent song, especially since the equipment I am using is extremely amateur.
Enjoy!!

Cyberdrift

Friday Apr 09, 2010

This is another thematic song that emerged at random and began to assume its own character and role, a feeling of cyberspace, OK Computer nostalgia, and robot love at the same time. Hope you like it!

Storm of Passion

Wednesday Apr 07, 2010

Wednesday Apr 07, 2010

This is a song I wrote during my second phase of musical inspiration, coming and going as they please. It is a combination of recorded guitars and electronic sounds produced on a MacBook using GarageBand. Thanks for listening!

Picnic in Atlantis

Monday Apr 21, 2008

Monday Apr 21, 2008

It sort of loosely follows a story - in my mind at least - of a brief excursion to Atlantis (the lost city deep underwater) and then a quick picnic with Nemo, Ariel, and a GIGANTIC sperm whale....it was fun...

The Path of the One

Monday Apr 21, 2008

Monday Apr 21, 2008

This song was originally created out of complete randomness while I was fooling around on a piano but I liked the tune so much I decided to try and make a song out of it. And well...here it is...

Medieval Psychadelia

Friday Jan 25, 2008

Friday Jan 25, 2008

This is an attempt at merging what I consider to be "medieval" music with psychadelic infusions and exploring new combinations of musical forms. This one is also a bit conceptual and if you don't like it, try Morning Glory or Flying Cured Me.

A Beautiful Chaos

Friday Jan 25, 2008

Friday Jan 25, 2008

This is a very experimental song that I made while exploring garageband. I'm exploring adding new sounds and new random combinations of instruments and tracks.
I would suggest listening to some of my other ones first. Morning glory and Flying Cured Me are my favorites.

Have Fun Get Serious

Friday Jan 25, 2008

Friday Jan 25, 2008

This is a strange little tune I put together which is a juxtaposition of two very different musical forms. The first part is mildly reggae-influenced and the second part is electronic psybient, etc...
